Winter Service Tasks

Jeep service

Winter is fast approaching, and though winter in Houston, TX isn’t quite as extreme as it is in other parts of the country, the changing of seasons still presents an excellent opportunity to get your car back into top condition.

There may not be much snow and ice in Houston, TX (if at all), but we do receive some cold temperatures, and if you take your Jeep® SUV to a more wintery region, you’ll want to be sure that it’s prepared for the elements. Here are some Jeep service tasks to get completed before winter.

Heater Check

Because cold weather is the biggest winter weather threat that we face, it’s important that your car’s heater is functioning properly. You may not have turned on your heater since last winter, so before you’re faced with a chilly morning, make sure that it’s properly blowing out hot air. If hot, schedule Jeep service with our maintenance department today.

Antifreeze Refill

Your car’s antifreeze is an essential aspect of keeping your car protected in winter. Under the hood, the vehicle contains a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze. If the ratio becomes more tilted in the favor of water, our mechanics will fill the reservoir with the necessary amount of antifreeze.

Tire Check

Whether or not you go off-roading in your Jeep SUV, your tire health is a critical element of overall vehicle performance and safety year-round. In particular, our mechanics will take a look at the tire tread depth, making sure that it has enough tread for winter driving. We’ll also check the tire pressure, because as temperatures drop, car tire pressure decreases.

Schedule your winter Jeep service today at Helfman Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM. Our mechanics look forward to getting your Jeep SUV back into top condition before winter hits.
