Spring is finally here. That means flowers, sunshine, and new beginnings. It also means you may need to give your Jeep® vehicle a little extra attention to get ready for the changing seasons. Here are some of the most important Jeep service tasks to prepare for spring.

Book an Oil Change

To prevent the oil that runs through your engine from becoming contaminated with debris, it’s important to have your oil changed at least once every six months or every 3,000 miles traveled, so if you’re overdue, there’s no better time to do it than right now.

You don’t need to change your oil yourself. In fact, it’s best to book an appointment at a Jeep service center, where experienced technicians can change your oil and oil filter in under an hour.

Check Your Tires

Your Jeep SUV may be built to handle tough terrains, but that doesn’t mean harsh winter roads won’t take a toll on your tires. Icy and pothole-laden roads pose a serious risk to your tires, so you should give them a careful inspection to make sure they are firm and properly aligned, and that their tread is still at least 2/32 inches deep for any rainy spring weather ahead.

Give Your Vehicle a Thorough Wash

Car washes are for more than just a shiny finish. They also prevent foreign debris from damaging the delicate parts of your car’s undercarriage. Salt, mud, and dirt on the winter roads might have left your car especially messy, so it’s a good idea to do a bit of spring cleaning as the seasons change.
