2022 RAM 1500 Service Schedule
You just bought a 2022 RAM 1500, and now you’re committed to keeping it in top shape for as long as you can. Fortunately, we can help you with that here at Helfman Dodge Chrysler Jeep® RAM. We’ll tell you everything that you need to know about what kind of maintenance this truck needs and when.
8,000 Miles
This is the first major milestone you should pay attention to. Now’s a good time for:
- An oil change
- A new oil filter
- A tire rotation
- Fluid level check
All of those services will be repeated at future service appointments, as needed. One thing that’s important to note is that some drivers might need an oil change more often.
If you’re frequently towing heavy items and going off-road, your truck is working harder. Tell our mechanics about your habits and we’ll try to make a more customized maintenance plan for you.
20,000 Miles
At this point you’ll want inspections of your brakes and front suspension. It might also be time for a new cabin air filter.
30,000 Miles
Now you’ll probably need a new engine air filter along with a new cabin air filter, if it wasn’t replaced at 20,000 miles. Our mechanics will also inspect the axles, CV joints, and transfer case fluid for any signs of trouble.
60,000 Miles
This is a good time to check fluid levels, including the coolant and brake fluid, and replace them if needed.
100,000 Miles
You may need new spark plugs at this point. We’ll also inspect parts of your electrical system and your suspension. If you’re someone who tows a lot and really puts your RAM 1500 to the test, this also might be a good time to check the transfer case and change the fluid.
