Available Engines

The pickup’s standard engine is a 6.4-liter V8 HEMI® powerplant. This engine generates 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. Pickups with the HEMI® engine have an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear- or four-wheel drive.

Two versions of a turbodiesel 6.7-liter six-cylinder Cummins® engine are available. The first iteration of the turbodiesel engine produces 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. When it’s tuned for high output, the Cummins® engine delivers a stout 1,075 lb-ft of torque and 420 horsepower. Both versions of this powerplant pair with rear- or four-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Capabilities

New RAM trucks have long been recognized for their outstanding capabilities, and they continue to deserve similar praise. With its standard powerplant and the appropriate equipment, the RAM 3500 can tow as much as 18,210 lb and haul up to 7,680 lb.

Pickups with the base Cummins® engine can tow up to 22,660 lb and haul as much as 6,830 lb when they’re outfitted properly. Trucks with high-output turbodiesel engines can tow as much as 37,090 lb and haul up to 6,560 lb when they have the right gear.

Standard and Available Equipment

The RAM 3500 is outfitted with desirable standard features. Those amenities include a five-inch infotainment touchscreen, a rearview camera, Bluetooth® integration, and a locking tailgate.
